Two decades of botanical ingredient development
Established in 2004, the company combines traditional botanical knowledge with controlled extraction, analytical research, preclinical evaluation and modern ingredient-development practices. Star Hi Herbs is the manufacturer and registered owner of Turmesac®, a synergistic phytochemical composition derived from turmeric rhizome.
From botanical authentication and extraction to biological evaluation and scientific publication, the company manages multiple stages of ingredient development through its manufacturing and research operations in Karnataka, India.

Star Hi Herbs operates research, development and manufacturing activities from its facility at Plot No. 50, 3rd Road, 1st Phase, KIADB Industrial Area, Jigani, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The site has supported botanical authentication, turmeric-rhizome processing, extraction, concentration, spray drying and preparation of standardized phytochemical compositions. Turmesac® research papers also identify the Jigani R&D division as the centre responsible for botanical authentication and product evaluation.
Star Hi Herbs operates its own extraction facility with batch-to-batch traceability, quality-control testing and technical documentation for commercial ingredient supply.

Company scientists have conducted biological evaluations using human and animal cell lines, experimental models, biochemical analysis, histopathology, flow cytometry and antioxidant assays. Published Turmesac® investigations include:
